Peter couldn’t wait to get started on their tour and was glad that she was just as excited as he was. “Something interesting huh? Well that shouldn’t be a problem.” He paced for a minute next to the rock that he was just sitting on earlier trying to think of the most interesting place to start with. He needed somewhere that would start the tour off with a bang, someplace that’s really fun and that was also good for exploring.
Peter stopped pacing and snapped his fingers. “I got it! The pier is a good place to start. It’s not too far from here and its new and real big so there’s a lot of stuff to look at. And plus all the rides are fun. Yes, we should go there.” Peter waved her along as he started to walk down the beach and started pointing stuff out along the way in his best enthusiastic tour guide voice.
When they reached the steps that led to the pier, they walked up and stood there for a minute, he let take in the view. “There’s alotta really fun rides here. There’s teacups over there and a merry-go-round and swings that go really high up in the air,” he said pointing around as they walked a little further down. “There’s also food and prizes and stuff.”
Marian couldn’t help but to crack as a smile as she saw him pacing around thinking about all the areas on this island. It was actually surprisingly big. She pulled herself out of her thoughts once more as it seemed like Peter had made a decision on where the duo would go to to begin their adventure. The pier, it sounded like lots of fun! A laughed slipped from her mouth at his little act as a tour guide. Marian nodded her head as she diligently followed his steps and in a couple of moments, fell in step next to the boy.
Finally at the pier, Marain just stood taking in the view of the whole place. It was immense! Rides for any age group, a whole bunch of booths to play games, and food! It was the perfect place to have a fun night at. Her eyes gleamed at the boy as he told her about the tea cups, merry-go-round, and swings. Feeling as though she was a kid, excitement entered her veins as all she wanted to do was run around the amusement park and ride everything and eat everything. She followed a few steps behind him as he pointed out other items but she was too engrossed on observing the rides and the booths to be fully listening.
“Peter. Why don’t we go on one of the rides? They look like they’ll be incredibly fun!” a huge grin was on Marian’s face. Marian couldn’t remember much about her life before the island but she knew that she loved a good adventure and thrill.
